SITE MEETING & CONSULTATION

The design process starts with a face to face meeting on site, with time to explore the garden, listen and learn about the brief, ask and answer questions and find out more about the project. These meetings are free of charge.

SITE SURVEY

A detailed garden survey is carried out using the latest Moasure technology to measure distances, angles, areas and gradients to map the site.

CONCEPT DESIGN

A series of drawings and sketches are produced and presented, outlining the design concept. These include visual representations from different perspectives that illustrate landscaping and key plants.

PLanting Schedule

A detailed plan that proposes which plants to use and where to plant them within the site. The planting schedule is carefully constructed to situate plants in the best position for their unique characteristics, growing habits and eventual size and spread.

This plan is presented alongside a comprehensive list which itemises each plant with an image, a description and costings for sourcing from tried and trusted U.K nurseries.

Landscaping

Rutty Sark Gardens work with a fantastic landscaping practice who are reliable, fairly priced and have a great breadth of experience. Upon request we will provide a quote to fully realise the design and project-manage the build.

Alternatively, a series of detailed drawings and construction notes will be produced, allowing you to shop around for landscaper quotations and manage the build in-house.

Planting

Once the landscaping has been realised, we send out the plant orders. Upon arrival, plants are carefully situated and planted on site, with attention to excellent horticultural practices and the overall aesthetic.

Garden Maintenance

On-going maintenance by our professional, RHS-trained gardeners will ensure your garden continues to grow and develop in keeping with the design and your priorities for the site.
